I pray Thee, O my Lord, by Thy hidden, Thy treasured Name,
that calleth aloud in the kingdom of creation, and summoneth all peoples to the
Tree beyond which there is no passing, the seat of transcendent glory, to rain
down upon us, and upon Thy servants, the overflowing rain of Thy mercy, that it
may cleanse us from the remembrance of all else but Thee, and draw us nigh unto
the shores of the ocean of Thy grace. Ordain, O Lord, through Thy most exalted
Pen, that which will immortalize our souls in the Realm of glory, will
perpetuate our names in Thy Kingdom, and safeguard our lives in the treasuries
of Thy protection and our bodies in the stronghold of Thy inviolable fastness.
Powerful art Thou over all things, be they of the past or of the future. No God
is there but Thee, the omnipotent Protector, the Self-Subsisting.
Thou seest, O Lord, our suppliant hands lifted up towards
the heaven of Thy favor and bounty. Grant that they may be filled with the
treasures of Thy munificence and bountiful favor. Forgive us, and our fathers,
and our mothers, and fulfil whatsoever we have desired from the ocean of Thy
grace and Divine generosity. Accept, O Beloved of our hearts, all our works in
Thy path. Thou art, verily, the Most Powerful, the Most Exalted, the
Incomparable, the One, the Forgiving, the Gracious.

Believers – “make them real Baha’is and sincere godly ones”
O Thou Omnipotent God! Perfume the nostrils of the friends
in the Occident with the breaths of the Holy Spirit; and illumine the horizon
of the West with the light of guidance. Make the remote ones the near ones,
change the strangers into compassionate friends, awaken those who are asleep,
and make heedful those who are heedless.
O Thou Glorious Lord! Confirm and assist these noble friends with Thy good pleasure, suffer them to become the well-wishers of the known and unknown, enter them in the world of the everlasting Kingdom, confer upon them a share from the outpouring of the Realm of Might, make them real Baha’is and sincere godly ones, deliver them from superficiality and establish them in Truth, make them the signs of the Kingdom and brilliant stars in the horizon of the world, make them the cause of the prosperity and composure of the world of humanity and the servants of the universal peace, intoxicate all of them with the wine of Thy commands and exhortations and grant to all good morals and conduct in the path of Thy teachings.
O my God! The desire of this Servant of the Threshold is to see that the friends of the West have embraced the beloved of the East, and the individuals of the world of humanity are with the utmost kindness the members of one assemblage, the drops of one ocean, the birds of one rose-garden, the pearls of one sea, the leaves of one tree and the rays of one sun.

Believers – Nearness to Manifestation of God: “may see Thee seated on the throne of Thy majesty”
The hearts of Thy chosen ones, O my Lord, have melted
because of their separation from Thee, and the souls of Thy loved ones are
burnt up by the fire of their yearning after Thee in Thy days. I implore Thee,
O Thou Maker of the heavens and Lord of all names, by Thy most effulgent Self
and Thy most exalted and all-glorious Remembrance, to send down upon Thy loved
ones that which will draw them nearer unto Thee, and enable them to hearken
unto Thine utterances.
Tear asunder with the hand of Thy transcendent power, O my Lord, the veil of vain imaginings, that they who are wholly devoted to Thee may see Thee seated on the throne of Thy majesty, and the eyes of such as adore Thy unity may rejoice at the splendors of the glory of Thy face. The doors of hope have been shut against the hearts that long for Thee, O my Lord! Their keys are in Thy hands; open them by the power of Thy might and Thy sovereignty. Potent art Thou to do as Thou pleasest. Thou art, verily, the Almighty, the Beneficent.

Individual & Humanity – Assistance, Spiritual transformation, Submission, Steadfastness
O Thou the Lord of the visible and the invisible, and the
Enlightener of all creation! I beseech Thee, by Thy sovereignty which is hid
from the eyes of men, to reveal in all directions the signs of Thy manifold
blessings and the tokens of Thy loving-kindness, that I may arise with
exultation and rapture and extol Thy wondrous virtues, O Thou the Most
Merciful, and stir up by Thy name all created things, and so kindle the fire of
Thy glorification amidst Thy creatures, that all the world may be filled with
the brightness of the light of Thy glory, and all existence be inflamed with
the fire of Thy Cause.
Roll not up, O my Lord, what hath been spread out in Thy
name, and extinguish not the lamp which Thine own fire hath lit. Withhold not,
O my Lord, the water that is life indeed from running down -- the water from whose
murmuring the wondrous melodies which
extol and glorify Thee can be heard. Deny not, moreover, Thy servants the sweet
fragrance of the breath which hath been wafted through Thy love.
Thou seest, O Thou Who art my All-Glorious Beloved, the
restless waves that surge within the ocean of my heart, in my love and yearning
towards Thee. I implore Thee, by the signs of Thy majesty and the evidences of
Thy sovereignty, to subdue Thy servants by this Name Which Thou hast made to be
the King of all names in the kingdom of Thy creation. Potent art Thou to rule
as Thou pleasest. No God is there but Thee, the All-Glorious, the
All-Bountiful.
Do Thou ordain, moreover, for every one who hath turned
towards Thee what will make him steadfast in Thy Cause, in such wise that
neither the vain imaginations of the infidels among Thy creatures, nor the idle
talk of the froward amidst Thy servants will have the power to shut him out
from Thee. Thou, verily, art the Help in Peril, the Almighty, the Most
Powerful.

Tablet of Visitation for the Mother of Baha’u’llah – by Baha’u’llah
-- provisional translation, approved by the Baha’i World Centre
The most honoured, esteemed and respected mother.
He is God!
Praised be Thou O Lord, My God! This is My mother who hath acknowledged Thy oneness, confessed Thy unity, attained the honour of meeting Thy Manifestations in Thy days, reached the station of recognition and entered the tabernacle of Heaven, for she loved Thyself and Thy Servant and held fast to the cord of Thy love through the sanctified Temples of Thy Sovereignty.
I beseech Thee, therefore, O My God, to grant her the honour of beholding Thy Beauty, and vouchsafe unto her the gift of Thy Presence. Give her to drink then from the ocean of Thy mercy and the chalice of Thy forgiveness. Make her to dwell, O My God, in the precincts of Thy mercy in the Heaven of eternity. Grant her to hear Thy holy melodies that she may cast the veil from her head in her eagerness to meet Thee and speed through the domains of Thy nearness and union.
Thou art verily powerful over all that Thou desirest, and Thou art verily the Mighty, the Most Luminous.

Teachers of the Cause - - prayer recommended by ‘Abdu’l-Baha to be read every day
O God! O God! This is a broken-winged bird and his flight is
very slow—assist him so that he may fly toward the apex of prosperity and salvation,
wing his way with the utmost joy and happiness throughout the illimitable
space, raise his melody in Thy Supreme Name in all the regions, exhilarate the
ears with this call, and brighten the eyes by beholding the signs of guidance.
O Lord! I am single, alone and lowly. For me there is no
support save Thee, no helper except Thee and no sustainer beside Thee. Confirm
me in Thy service, assist me with the cohorts of Thine angels, make me
victorious in the promotion of Thy Word and suffer me to speak out Thy wisdom
amongst Thy creatures. Verily, Thou art the helper of the weak and the defender
of the little ones, and verily Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty and the
Unconstrained.

In the Name of God, the Most Ancient, the Most Great.
In the Name of God, the Most Ancient, the Most Great.
Indeed the hearts of the sincere are consumed in the fire of
separation: Where is the gleaming of the light of Thy Countenance, O Beloved of
the worlds?
Those who are near unto Thee have been abandoned in the
darkness of desolation: Where is the shining of the morn of Thy reunion, O
Desire of the worlds?
The bodies of Thy chosen ones lie quivering on distant
sands: Where is the ocean of Thy presence, O Enchanter of the worlds?
Longing hands are uplifted to the heaven of Thy grace and
generosity: Where are the rains of Thy bestowal, O Answerer of the worlds?
The infidels have arisen in tyranny on every hand: Where is
the compelling power of Thine ordaining pen, O Conqueror of the worlds?
The barking of dogs is loud on every side: Where is the lion
of the forest of Thy might, O Chastiser of the worlds?
Coldness hath gripped all mankind: Where is the warmth of
Thy love, O Fire of the worlds?
Calamity hath reached its height: Where are the signs of Thy
succor, O Salvation of the worlds?
